Actress and outspoken Christian Candace Cameron Bure recently thanked fans for helping to increase the viewership of the faith-based, family-friendly Great American Family Network.
“Thank You,” Bure wrote in an Instagram Story, which included images of balloons, confetti, and a press release from the Great American Media celebrating the network’s growth, The Daily Wire reports.
According to the press release, the network leads “all networks in year-over-year viewership increases for the seventh consecutive month.”
“According to Nielsen Media Research, Great American Family also retained its position as TV’s fastest growing network in both (second quarter) to date and 2023 (year to date) with the largest gains in Total Day and Primetime viewership among both Households and Total Viewers,” the release reads.
Great American Family also celebrated the milestone on its social media accounts.
“Thank you to YOU, our viewers, for making #GreatAmericanFamily the fastest-growing network for seven consecutive months!” the network wrote on Facebook.
Last year, Bure announced that she was leaving the Hallmark Channel to join the Great American Family network following failed contract negotiations. Bure had been with Hallmark for 10 years and had created 30 movies with the network, CBN News reports.
During an interview with PEOPLE, Bure said she was looking to create “family and faith-filled programming” with GAC.
“I am constantly looking for ways that I can inspire people to live life with purpose,” Bure said. “GAC fits my brand perfectly; we share a vision of creating compelling, wholesome content for an audience who wants to watch programming for and with the whole family.”
“I want to contribute to the overall aesthetic look and feel of the network itself and then along with curating content for the channel,” she added.
In addition to starring in Great American Family films, Bure serves as the Chief Content Officer and a producer at the network.
