On Tuesday, Sadie Robertson Huff and her husband Christian Huff welcomed their first child, Honey James Huff, into the world.
On several Instagram posts, the former Duck Dynasty star turned Christian motivational speaker, podcast host and author posted several pictures celebrating the birth of her newborn daughter.
“We saw a million little miracles yesterday – the best one being this girl right here… Honey,” Robertson Huff wrote to her 4.4 million followers. “The pure goodness of God. Story to come, but I’m way too occupied right now by cuteness.”
In a follow-up post, Robertson Huff gushed over her daughter, writing, “Good morning world!!! I thought you might could use 9 pounds and 5 ounces of straight-up goodness.”
Robertson, who first announced her pregnancy last October, had also revealed that she had been hospitalized due to COVID-19 complications during her pregnancy, CBN News reports.
“The hardest thing was I did get COVID while I was pregnant and I was so sick from that, and so sick still in the morning sickness, so that was a challenge. Seriously, my heart goes out to every single pregnant person with COVID and everybody with COVID,” she told People Magazine in early December. “They were telling me at the hospital, they were like, ‘Man, people have to deliver with it.’ I can’t even imagine. So that was challenging in and of itself.”
Robertson, 23, and her husband, 22, have been married since November 2019.
Robertson’s announcement of her baby girl comes following the recent news that her book, Life Just Got Real, will be adapted into a TV series by the same name.
As Christian Headlines previously reported, the upcoming series will follow the lives of two high school girls from different walks of life who join a reality TV show where they learn that life is difficult, dating can be rough and second chances don’t come around each day.
